Happy New Year!

The AACC is pleased to continue this academic school year in Spring 2014. Here are some upcoming events for next week:

Monday, January 13, 2014:

Exhibition Preview, The Soul of Bronzeville. This exhibition, co-organized by the Chicago Blues Museum and the UIC African-American Cultural Center, will focus exclusively on the 60 year history of the Chicago neighborhood known as Bronzeville. The exhibition will focus on the events of this remarkable Chicago South Side neighborhood from the Great Migration in 1910 to the closing of the Regal Theater in 1973.

The exhibit will include an array of photos, objects, film clips, books, an inter-active events and activities, all of which will offer a refreshing insight into the Bronzeville neighborhood.

Join us from 12-1 at Addams Hall 2nd floor for refreshments and a presentation by Greg Parker the CEO and founder of the Chicago Blues Museum.
