PAP STEM Initiative
The PAP STEM Initiative enables President’s Award Program scholars majoring in STEM disciplines at UIC to join a network with their peers and faculty in the scientific community. Students do research, make connections, and enhance their experience at UIC, while preparing for graduate school and becoming the next generation of scientists and engineers who will shape the world.

October 2016 Collaboration Event:
In partnership with the Latino Cultural Center (LCC) and the African American Cultural Center (AACC), this event will bring PAP STEM students together to tour the Gallery spaces at both Centers, and to understand how communities have chosen to express identity through various art forms. We will also get connected with information about events and programs at UIC’s Centers for Cultural Understanding and Social Change, and their theme this year: “A Year of Remedies.” A hands on element will be a part of this Two-Part Workshop, which will allow creative opportunities for developing visual materials that express PAP STEM Students’ Identity.
